Happy Independence Day and a happy birthday to Brittany!
Maybe because it’s summer, but I’ve been having tart fever. I decided to make mini tarts because it uses less filling and I can add more fruits. This is a cream cheese filling; I want to make a custard filling similar to my favorite Asian fruit cakes/tarts, but I haven’t found the right recipe yet. Also, a family friend, returned with some banana rum cake from the Bahamas. Here, my friend and I made some whip cream and added fresh fruits to the cake, which made the dessert taste more heavenly. This will probably be my next project…rum cake!
